Hi there,

I currently work on a project, where I create a Robot by using several controllers, which communicate via OPC. On of them is an Arduino Uno. The main controller is a Raspberry PI. I can controll the Arduino via OPC running on my computer.

Now I try to set up the Raspberry PI, and I couldn't install the OPC Server. Is it possible in general?
The Raspberry PI runs with Raspian.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Kind regards
Theodor

Hello

OPC technology is based on COM from Microsoft Windows so is not possible to run it over Linux. That is the reason of the new OPC technology based on REST called OPC UA

Arduino have not enough power to run OPC UA so maybe is better to use other technology for your project

all the best
