Hi,
i want start this great project, but my question is…what model of arduino board i must buy for good work with OPC library?
Can someone list me all hardware that i must buy for start this work? (eg Ethernet shield, ecc)
I think Yun is a great option but we need more information about your project to decide…p.e. do you need wire connection? how many inputs/output you will need?…

Hi Martinez,
thanks a lot for your reply.
Yes a need a wired connection, i want use this project for simulate some devices with OPC server inside.
I’m integrating OPC protocolo into my company product http://www.acotelnet.com/en/energy/scheda_prodotto_mau….i’m developing an OPC client software for talk with various OPC servers.
Do you think that i can use for this an Arduino UNO with an Ethernet Shield?
Yes, you can use the ethernet Shield but remember that you will need a Windows to run the OPC Server…the UNO is not power enough to get inside a OPC Server

Ok Martin,
so you suggest to use Arduino Yun…is this the best solution? I want an OPC server that start and run indipendently to my windows workstation.
